90% Unemployment, Zanu PF Gvt Broke, No Bonus, Unions To Strike,…So What?…I’m on Holiday!

When a nation, has 90% Unemployment, collapsed Service Delivery in Health Care, Education, Housing and Roads, and a broke despot led Mugabe’s Zanu PF regime, it is everyone’s responsibility to rise up in defiance to oppressive authority.

Zimbabwe is burning and we have the weakest set up opposition wise because of the broke, multiple opposition forces, well entrenched in their corners and fighting amongst and between themselves instead of uniting against a common evil, Mugabe and his Zim 1 family, Zanu PF stalwarts and securocrats who monopolise wealth and power.

Typical of his indifference to the crisis at home, presently Mugabe is away, having flown out of the country on Wednesday and enjoying, what in his mind, is a well earned break, away from all the people’s suffering in Zimbabwe, with civil servants informed that they will not be receiving bonuses as expected by the end of December 2015 but instead on the 5 th of January 2016.

Last night, Rural Teachers Union in Zimbabwe (RTUZ) president Obert Masaraure, himself a former vice president of the Zimbabwe National Student’s Union (Zinasu) along with his Uncle, and Pride Mukono the Rural teachers Union (RTUZ) programmes officer who is the former (Zinasu) president were arrested and held in detention at Kuwadzana Police, where the charges are not yet clear.

It is known that earlier on the Rural Teachers Union in Zimbabwe (RTUZ) had issued a statement, indicating that the current crisis is a ‘time bomb’ for Mugabe’s Zanu PF regime, while at the same time denouncing the government’s failure to settle civil servant’s bonuses and therefore this persecution is to be expected.

Available information and from the ground indicates that the (RTUZ) team were heavily assaulted and Pride Mukono, was stripped naked, beaten to a pulp in police detention at Kuwadzana police station.

Itai Dzamara, the journalist/ activist, who vehemently fought this oppressive state of affairs for all the people of Zimbabwe, disappeared in March 2015 at the hands of the brutal Mugabe and his Zanu PF central Intelligence Organisation, (CIO) and to date, nothing has been heard from or about him and with each passing day, we fear the worst because of the inherent dangers associated with challenging Mugabe’s oppressive regime.

What has happened to RTUZ members is obviously, Mugabe’s Zanu PF partisan and brutal police force, instil fear amongst the people, by swooping down on leaders of unions, who could mobilise the disillusioned public, in this case, teachers, who have always been Mugabe’s ‘pet hate’ because of their access and influence upon the people.

Mugabe, himself a former teacher, knows very well from knowledge and experience that teachers have influence upon their students and parents of students and surrounding communities and have greater leverage in easily shaping public opinion.

It comes as no surprise to everyone, why, once Zimbabweans rose up in defiance to oppressive authority as of 2000, teachers of all civil servants have borne the full brunt of Mugabe’s ruthlessness.

On top of the deadly factionalism, that is wreaking havoc across Zanu PF, due , partly to the unsettled leadership succession issue there is a new battle codenamed the ‘Battle of the two Patricks’ in which, in Mugabe’s absence, the Minister of Finance Patrick Chinamasa has signalled a climbdown from the government’s damaging indigenisation policy of empowerment but the president’s nephew, Minister Patrick Zhuwao appears to singing from a different hymn book and has rubbished Chinamasa’s stance as treachourous , in the absence of his uncle, the despot president Robert Mugabe, hence the title ‘Battle of the two Patricks’.

Such a response by him, proves beyond doubt that the despot Mugabe and his Zim1 family, treat the country like a personal asset to which they have freedom to do whatever they want with impunity and no accountability to anyone, whatsoever.
Yesterday the Zimbabwe nurses association (ZINA) also ridiculed the government’s disregard for civil servants through its failure to address bonus issues. the Nurses association, issued an ultimatum, to the effect that if this is not resolved by the 29th of December 2016, they will be left with no choice but to down tools and go on strike.

Morgan Tsvangirai, the leader of the largest opposition in Zimbabwe, the Movement for Democratic Change, (MDC T) has warned Zimbabweans, whilst addressing a party rally in Gutu (Dewure) , the dreadful deterioration of the state makes waiting for 2018 out of the question.

Richard Morgan Tsvangirai, emphasised that the extent to which the nation’s economy has deteriorated economically necessitates an immediate public response.

He called for action by the people of Zimbabwe, to pressurise the despot president Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF to awaken to the people’s suffering before the nation totally succumbs to the man made poverty.

The MDC T leader, Richard Morgan Tsvangirai, has highlighted the obvious, which is that, Zimbabwean opposition are currently all talk and no action and that we need to act now!

The best opportunity has presented itself upon the nation, 90% unemployment, home destruction, drought, hunger, homelessness, collapsed service delivery in health care, education, shelter, water, electricity and roads, wide spread destitution coupled with the corrupt Mugabe’s Zanu PF indifference, highlighted by his decision to fly out to the east for his Christmas and annual leave until mid January 2016.

For once, let the people of Zimbabwe, choose not to work on Mugabe’s programmes by waiting for his holiday and leave to end, but instead, turn the circumstance in our favour.

We all need to remember that the those, well connected to the Zanu PF regime are now filthy rich multi millionaire criminals, who will do everything including using their ill gotten proceeds to influence, politics and decisions as Zimbabwe is now all about stomach politics and not real issues concerning the ordinary person.

These same criminals will continuously seek to see Mugabe in power until he falls over into his grave and if possible let him rule from beyond the grave as long as they can continue, monopolising wealth and power whilst looting national resources with impunity,..not that they love Mugabe!

Wake up Zimbabwe, action now, pulls the carpet from right under his feet, unsettles his apologist Zanu PF stalwarts, securocrats and Zim1 family, breaks them into confusion and panic and gives the people an upper hand in the fight against oppressive authority.

We have the power to reclaim the motherland from these criminals. Once shaken heavily, the empire will collapse and never stand again. There are only two options, left, either we become the ‘Walking Dead’ or ‘We Die Trying’ to free ourselves.

For the last 15 years we have lived under the false hood that Zanu PF would soon collapse or Mugabe was on the verge of dying because of continuous health scares, typically the ”Walking Dead’.

Politics has become a business in Zimbabwe and all it takes to get a foot hold on the looting gravy train, is to join opposition leadership or the ruling party and the rest is history as long as your plate is full. This is wrong and must end. The crisis faced by Zimbabweans does not affect Tsvangirai or any opposition leaders or followers only as it hits everyone including disillusioned Zanu PF followers, coloureds, blacks, whites, all tribes, religion , and creed. Lets unite and fight a common devil. Unity doesnt have to be at political level but at basic common sense level.

All opposition need to show that they have the people at heart and are prepared to take all risks in order to free the nation from Mugabe’s Zanu PF evil hold, and not just to line their pockets by getting afoot hold on the looting gravy train.

Tsvangirai, the MDC T leader of the largest opposition has got the numbers in terms of followers. Zimbabweans are hungry for an end to this impasse, we need change now, but there is no leadership. Tsvangirai must stop his continuous talk show and lead the battle from the front, for all peace loving, democratic Zimbabweans , who seek peace, equality, justice and prosperity for all in Zimbabwe.

History can never forgive this generation for sitting back and selling the nation to the despot and his ruthless Zanu PF criminal regime. For the sake of all our children and future generations, its time the Zimbabwean nation put an immediate stop to this mess. ‘We need to Die Trying to free ourselves,..2018 is not an option! Mugabe and all his Zanu PF must go, now!

United we will win,… lets work together and fight a common evil then revert back to our corners and finish the fight in a more democratic society that we will establish, with electoral reforms. We can then hold free and fair elections and establish a people’s government and Rule of Law, so that we all enjoy a better and free tomorrow less Mugabe and his Zanu PF.

The time to act is now. Don’t sit back and wait for Mugabe to return on his terms. Either force him to return unexpectedly in panic at the collapse of his oppressive state in his absence or seek safety and asylum in the East as the despot led, Mugabe’s Zanu PF empire falls, preferably the second option! Please share with all your friends worldwide,..thank you! by Sibusiso Ngwenya..
